Balance & Happiness
Do you find that in today's busy world work just doesn't stop? Even when you leave the office, it's like you bring work home with you thanks to that handy mini
touch screen computer in your pocket. I feel like I am completely accessible at all times. Which is great, don't get me wrong, but some boundaries need to be put
in place so I can relax and concentrate on my home life.
Boundaries may sound harsh, but I feel that it will allow me to be completely present in whatever activity or story I am listening to or participating in. Let's be
honest, I can get distracted pretty easily at times and I want to make sure my attention is at its fullest.
Speaking of full attention, I want to make sure I am giving it my all in the activities that are important to me, wouldn't you agree? I pick and choose where I need to
channel my energy during the week. At times it can feel like a compromise, but isn't that what balance is? Being flexible and evenly distributed. I want to make
sure that I don't have too much on my plate, or I will feel spread thin and then no one would be getting my full 100%. By being balanced, it allows me to live a
life that I am happy with, participating in what I want to participate in- which brings me Joy.
Balance in your life brings balance and happiness to your inner body, because too much of a good thing can end up being a bad thing. (Too many donuts for example
can be a bad thing.) I feel the most balance when I have my family, friend and personal time scheduled. This way I don't feel like I am in a bind and obligated to only
one activity. Doing what you love doing will lead you to true happiness!
