When people ask me what I do, I usually see them try to categorize me. Am I the Architect who worries about the structural "bones" and the building code? Or am I the Interior Designer who obsessively hunts for the perfect saturated velvet and the "True Tone" of a room?

My answer is always the same: I am both. At Jewel Toned Interiors, we believe you can’t have one without the other.

As a licensed architect and a registered interior designer, I’ve spent my career realizing that the industry’s habit of separating these two worlds is exactly what keeps spaces from reaching their full potential. To me, Integrated Architecture and Interior Design isn’t just a service, it’s a commitment to making sure the heart of a project is as strong as its foundation.

Most people think design starts with a shell and ends with furniture. But when I sit down at the drafting table, I’m doing a 360-degree dance. I’m thinking about the structural layout at the same moment I’m imagining the tactile "experiential" joy of a client running their hand along a plush upholstered sofa.

Integration means we aren't "fixing" a floor plan with decor later on. It means we’re Thinking Outside the Box before the box is even built. We’re placing windows not just for symmetry on the facade, but to ensure that when you wake up, the "Brilliant Cut" of the morning sun hits your favorite reading nook just right.

The JTI studio is built on the belief that we exist to transform lives. That is a heavy, beautiful responsibility. I’ve found that the only way to fulfill that mission is through total integration, guided by the values we hold dear:

  • Integrity is Integral: Because I wear both hats, I see the "Clarity & Contrast" of a project from day one. There is an inherent honesty in a space where the architecture supports the lifestyle inside, rather than fighting it.
  • Choose Empathy: I don't just design for square footage; I design for feelings. Being both an architect and a designer allows me to advocate for your wellness through structural choices like acoustic privacy and air quality while simultaneously curating an aesthetic that makes your soul sing.
  • Collaborate Constantly: My dual perspective allows me to bridge the gap between our contractors and our creatives, ensuring that the "Final Polish" is never lost in translation between the blueprint and the job site.

Every project we touch is a Faceted Perspective. It has to work hard, be technically flawless, and breathtakingly bold. Whether I’m working on a high-impact commercial space or a budget friendly community project, my goal is to create a "Jewel Box"; a space that is precious, protective, and perfectly reflects you.

I don’t want to just build you a space. I want to build you an experience. To do that, we have to marry the bones and the soul from the very first sketch.
