Have you ever heard the phrase, coopetition? This term comes from competition + cooperation.

In our fast-paced environments, stakeholders don’t seem to be fighting against each other. In fact, clients benefit when they find strong cooperation and great performance, improved by healthy market competition.

Coopetition can be seen in companies that collaborate, sharing knowledge and researching new developments and technologies, while also focusing on growing market share and adding value to their stakeholders.

The advantages can be many: complementary resources, technologies, cost reductions, etc.. All of this eventually comes to one key point: trust.

At the end, executives come together building trust, connecting with each other, creating strong relationships, and strengthening not only personal connections but also a sustainable circle where everyone wins. I believe  that when everyone is winning, there is real trade. Business is simple: all parties involved need to win

I have seen how consistently Joy (our CEO), Karissa (one of our Design Project Managers), have been attending EAFL events, meetings, happy hours, presentations, and more. The people, members, and communities of this organization are built on trust and motivation and they stick together to grow their respective enterprises and in turn, win

Being able to participate in this trade show was, in its purest and sincerest way, seeing the beauty of coopetition. People greeted each other by first name, often paired with a hug,  inquired about the health and wellbeing of family members, and displayed genuine care  that far exceeds the value of the exchanged business transaction. They are about building and strengthening one another  so that, in the end, everyone wins.

Nowadays, it’s beautiful to see how people are focused on adding value to the community and not only thinking selfishly. Cheers to communities and opportunities where industries and markets coexist, wanting not only to cooperate but also to compete in the healthiest and most beautiful way. The Executive’s Association of Fort Lauderdale is one of them!

PS: We were having so much fun that we forgot to take a picture at our beautiful table. At least we remembered in the parking lot. Great memories! Great team!
